FAQ

The questions people actually ask, answered plainly. If yours is not here, send us a message.

Using it

How do I use it?

Wrap the pad over the sore spot, light side against your skin or a thin layer of clothing. Fasten the strap so it is snug. Plug it in, press power, then set the timer. Ten minutes is a good place to start. Most people use it once or twice a day.

How long until I notice anything?

That depends on the person, and we are not going to promise you a date. Red light works on repetition rather than on one long session, so use it daily for a few weeks before you judge it. You have 60 days to decide, and a full refund if you are not happy.

Where on my body can I use it?

Anywhere the pad can wrap and stay put. Lower back, waist, shoulder, knee, elbow, hands and feet all work. It bends, so it holds a curve instead of sliding off a joint.

How long should a session be?

Start at ten minutes. Build up to fifteen if you like. Longer is not better, and running session after session on the same spot is not a good idea.

Can I use it more than once a day?

Once or twice is plenty. Leave a few hours between sessions on the same area.

Does it need batteries?

No. It plugs in, so it will not run flat halfway through a session. The controller sits inline on the cable and holds the timer and the heat setting.

Do I have to use the heat?

No. The heat and the light are separate. You can run the lights with the heat off.

Can I use it over clothes?

A thin layer is fine. A thick jumper will block most of the light.

Safety

Is it safe?

For most people, used sensibly, yes. Do not look into the lights. Do not use it on broken skin, a fresh wound or a new scar. Please read the Safety page in full before your first session, and talk to your doctor if you are pregnant, have a health condition, or take medicine that makes your skin sensitive to light.

Can I use it if I am pregnant?

Ask your doctor first. We are not in a position to tell you it is fine.

Will it burn me?

Not if you start on low and pay attention. Take it off if your skin stings, itches, turns bright red or feels too hot. Do not use it on a part of your body where you cannot feel heat properly.

Is this a medical device?

No. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and we make no medical claims for it.

Buying and shipping

What does shipping cost?

Inside the US it is free on orders of $69 or more, and a flat $7.99 below that. Everywhere else is a flat $9.99. Full detail on the Shipping Policy page.

How long will it take to arrive?

We pack in 1 to 2 business days. US delivery is then 5 to 10 business days, Canada 7 to 14, and the rest of the world 10 to 21.

Why should I trust a brand I have not heard of?

Fair question. We are new. That is exactly why the guarantee is 60 days and covers the full price: the risk sits with us, not you. Message us and a real person answers.

Why are there no reviews or star ratings?

Because we have not sold enough pads to have honest ones. We would rather show you nothing than write our own and call them customers.

What if it does not work for me?

Contact us inside 60 days of delivery and we send back 100% of your money. A used pad is fine — we expect you to have tried it. See the Refund Policy.

Is it covered if it breaks?

Yes, for 12 months. See the Warranty page.
